Spirit of Spring

Spring is in the air. The snow has melted. The birds are singing. It’s time to celebrate.

Chorus York invites you to join them as they welcome the season of renewal with their annual spring concert on Saturday, May 2 in Richmond Hill at 8 p.m. & again on Sunday, May 3 in Thornhill at 3 p.m. This year’s program entitled Spirit of Spring is a program of sacred music with a twist. You will hear selections by composers such as Bach, Handel, Mozart, along with some well-loved spirituals and a few surprises.

Joining Chorus York for the first time is our guest performer, Jacquelline Chang, a talented sixteen-year-old soprano, presently enrolled in the Arts program at St. Elizabeth’s High School in Thornhill. Jacquelline will sing Mozart’s Laudate Dominum and other selections with the chorus, as well as some selections of her own choosing.
